OK, removal was easy; restore took a little hand-editing.
I tarred up a group directory, and then killed it via "C-u G DEL".
That got rid of the group quite nicely.
However I had a little trouble figuring out how to get it back. Just
untarring the group in the right place didn't work because it still
wasn't in the active file. Hand-editing the active file fixed that,
but is there a better way?
Thanks
