Hello folks,

I decided to give Emacs 25.1.3 a try. Curiously, when I start gnus
(v5.13), it pauses part way through and asks me to confirm that I want
to rename ~/.gnus.registry.eioio to ~/.gnus.registry.eioio

Past that prompt, it seems to come up fine. Any thoughts? It doesn’t
do that under Emacs 24.

                                        Be seeing you,
                                          norm

P.S. Random observations. I built Emacs 25 myself on Linux with all
the bells and whistles. Screen resizing during startup seems to
confuse it, parts of the frame don’t get repainted until I switch
windows. In Gnus message mode, typing “)” when there isn’t a matching
quote prints the “No matching parenthesis found” message in the
minibuffer then hangs, driving the CPU to 100%. So there are other
things wrong.
