Subject: Gnus giving error and wont start
Date: Wed, 06 Aug 2014 11:14:31 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <874mxp4pm0.fsf@gmail.com> (raw)
Hello:
I have the following line in ~/.gnus.el:
(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods '((nntp "news.gmane.org") '(nntp
"news.eternal-september.org")))
But when I start gnus, it gives me: Cannot open load file: quote.
This is after gnus asks me for my username and password, and after it
loads and the folder from my email (I can see it doing so in the
mini-buffer).
To fix this temporarily I delete that (setq ...) line and do
`M-x load-file ~/.gnus.el` and start gnus. Then, once gnus has started,
I repaste that (setq ...) line into ~/.gnus.el and do `M-x gnus`.
That's how I'm able to write this question.
So how do I fix that? How can I start gnus without the error described
above?
Thanks in advnace for your kind help.
Jenia
