Thanks, C-k fixes it. I have no idea what has happened. It might be
an artifact remaining from a major confusion in which Gnus subscribed
all NNTP groups as nnml mail groups. 8-(
Maybe we should apply the following documentation patch, although it
is a bit embarrassing?
