Is nndraft:drafts broken for anyone but me?

I just pulled from master. Before updating, I had one article in
nndraft:drafts. After updating, gnus said there were 8 articles,
but when I selected the group from the summary buffer, nothing
happened except the count changed from 8 to 1.

Then I created another draft, then invoked
`gnus-group-get-new-news', and the summary buffer said there were 8
articles in nndraft:drafts. I selected the group, and nothing
happened except the count changed from 8 to 2.

Michael

Gnus just keeps track of the lowest and highest article numbers in any
groups, so if you have sparse nndraft groups, that's to be expected.

Fixing this is scheduled for Ma Gnus.

But I can't get at the articles in nndraft:drafts.

Outside of gnus, when I cd into the directory of the drafts group, I
see there's a file there containing the draft I had started
composing. But in gnus, when I try to select the drafts group,
nothing happens.

Oh, you couldn't select the drafts group at all? Hm. I seem to be
unable to reproduce this -- if there's anything in the drafts directory,
it shows up in the drafts group.

If you enter the group with `RET', is there anything in the " *nntpd"*
buffer afterwards?

Right.

It's empty. It's in the modified state, if that's interesting. But empty.

Hm. Does `M-g' on the group before `RET' do anything?

Changes the count from 8 to 1, but that's all:

         8: nndraft:drafts
M-g
         1: nndraft:drafts
RET
         1: nndraft:drafts

I'll try single stepping into gnus-topic-select-group. (But it's
been about a decade since the last time I tried single stepping
throught the gnus code... :-))

Try stepping through `nndraft-retrieve-headers' instead...

In the process of trying to debug this problem, it went away. :-/

As an experiment, I used `B c' to copy a couple messages into
nndraft:drafts. The first message didn't make a difference (except
that my nndraft-retrieve-headers breakpoint was hit; until I copied
the first message, that breakpoint wasn't being hit). Then I copied
the second message and the problem went away entirely. Hmm.
