Just pulled from git and "make".
Entering a group
format: Symbol's function definition is void: gnus-user-date
and cant enter the group to read anything.

Quit gnus. Find your .newsrc.eld. Replace 'gnus-user-date' with
'gnus-summary-user-date'. Save. Start gnus.
This is almost certainly not the correct way to fix it, but it works.

Oh, the function name is saved in .newsrc.eld? I'll rename the function
back to gnus-user-date, then.

Or just defalias and make a fix so that it stops storing code in a data
file. :-|
