My value of 'gnus-score-file-single-match-alist' is the following:

Now, when I enter a group the first time, the score file "PLONKS", for
example, is properly processed, but on the second time, it is not (it
is probably ignored completely).  Neither 'W f' in the Group buffer
nor restarting Gnus (without terminating Emacs) fixes it, but after
entering a few other Gnus groups, the score file seems to become
active again.  I don't know what actually triggers this, however.

This behavior changed many moons ago, I think, but I never bothered to
complain about it.

Any ideas?
