Hello

May this feature also exists but I can't find it.
I would like to save *all* the attachments of a given message without
clicking at each attachment. Is this possible?

Thanks

Uwe Brauer

You can use `X m' (gnus-summary-save-parts) with a type that matches
everything ("" or ".*").

`C-h i d m gnus RET i attachment RET' ==>

,----[ (info "(gnus)MIME Commands") ]
| `X m'
| Save all parts matching a MIME type to a directory
| (`gnus-summary-save-parts'). Understands the process/prefix
|      convention (*note Process/Prefix::).
`----

BTW, it would be nice to extend this command to "delete part" and
"save and strip".

Bye, Reiner.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I once spent quite measurable time searching manual for this
incantation, and eventually concluded that such command doesn't exist,
and that I can continue saving emails and running uudeview on them. ;)

This made my day. ;)

(info "(gnus)MIME Commands") is the first index entry in the manual
for "attachment": `C-h i d m gnus RET i attachment RET'. How did you
try to search? Maybe we can improve the manual if you describe how
you tried to find it.

Bye, Reiner.

I didn't find it neither this way I had to look it up in the large
gnus html file, seems that somehow the corresponding texi file is
corrupted?

If `C-h i d m gnus RET i attachment RET' doesn't bring you to the node
(info "(gnus)MIME Commands"), there's something wrong with your
installation.

Bye, Reiner.

That was quite some time ago, so I don't really remember. But it
doesn't matter, all's well that ends well. :)

It just that gnus has so many features that I don't think it's that
easy to have them all documented at one place and at the same time
expect that you can find everything you want really fast. Last time I
printed gnus manual, the printer caught fire. ;)
