It's pretty similar:
gnus-predefined-server-alist's value is
(("cache" nnspool "cache"
(nnspool-spool-directory "~/Gnus/Cache")
(nnspool-nov-directory "~/Gnus/Cache")
(nnspool-active-file "~/Gnus/Cache/active")))
(I set gnus-cache-directory in my .emacs.el file.)
