That's "group marking". I'm not sure how you marked all your groups at
once (I thought there might be a toggle-all-group-marks command that
would toggle everything from unmarked to marked at once, but it doesn't
look like there is), but you can unmark them all with "M U".

Look into group marking! It can be useful.
