XEmacs support?

XEmacs support?

Does anyone use recent GNUs with XEmacs?  The latest stable release of
XEmacs doesn't seemt to be able to byte-compile it.

 XEmacs 21.4 (patch 13) "Rational FORTRAN" [Lucid] (i386-debian-linux,
 Mule) of Sun Jul 20 2003 on eeyore

without problems (from Debian/unstable). If it qualifies as recent, I
don't know.

On another box I'm using:

 XEmacs 21.4 (patch 6) "Common Lisp" [Lucid] (i386-debian-linux, Mule)
 of Sat Apr 6 2002 on eeyore

which is older (from Debian/stable, I think). Works fine there as
well.

Never have seen this. Maybe, the problem is: you use Windows. =))
Anyway, contact the XEmacs developers. As for now -- XEmacs package has
Gnus 5.10.2 and works fine even in Windows.

What version of XEmacs are you using?  A cvs update of gnus from
earlier this morning compiled just fine on my XEmacs 21.4.12.
