Wouldn't it be useful if gnus did not count articles in all groups
copied with T c in topic mode ?

Well, uhm, if a group is in two topics, it should be counted in both
topics. But perhaps it should be aggregated further up. Urk. But
doing something about that is beyond the scope of my fingers this
weekend.
