unread nnimap messages marked as O after move to different group

I wouldn't expect moving a message from one nnimap group to another to
change its read status.

I've had previous issues (now fixed) with moving messages between
servers, but this is reproducible moving messages between two groups on
the same server, using gnus from today's emacs git mirror.

I marked several unread messages with #, then moved them to a different
group with B m. In the new group, they are all marked O. (It's also
strange that they aren't marked E, if anything, because the destination
group has expiry on.)
