Subject: Easier permanent search group creation
Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2017 10:01:48 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87d1c1i6sz.fsf@hanan> (raw)

Following Eric's suggestion I have added a function
gnus-group-make-permanent-search-group to aid in testing the new
nnselect backend. This command is bound to "G g" in the group buffer and
behaves just like gnus-group-make-search-group (bound to "G G" in the
group buffer) except it will also prompt for a group name and make a
permanent nnselect group out of the search query. Usual rules apply.

Since "G g" was already taken the server buffer, I have not added a
binding for the new command in that case. But it is interactive so can
still be invoked in the server buffer with the usual result (all the
groups in the server will be searched).

Best,
Andy
