Please, don't apologise. I was concerned that I had not understood your
question, rather than trying to tell you that you should adapt to my

Slowly. :)
The only way that I know of is:
* add both backends to your configuration
* enter each source group
* select all articles
* copy them to the other backend (with B c in summary buffer)
I did this for my nnml to nnimap migration recently. Not fun at all,
but it did work, and preserved all my marks.
