Subject: News admin removes active.times -> *boom*
Date: Wed, 18 Aug 2004 14:37:33 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87ekm4d3le.fsf@deneb.enyo.de> (raw)
My Gnus installation (various CVS version over the past few years)
exhibits the following strange behavior: If the news server admin
deletes or replaces the active.times file, Gnus resubscribes a
significant number of Usenet (nntp) groups as mail (nnml) groups.
Of course, this completely clutters the group list. 8-(
Has anybody observed this as well? Where should I start looking for a
fix?
