Hi, just my story~
Before i used Emacs 23 on Ubuntu 12.04.
One problem was that could not connect to imap.gmail.com on Emacs 23.
BTW, i can now connect imap.gmail.com after i did upgrade Emacs to
the latest snapshot. It is good to me with Emacs snapshot (25.x)
Still i am in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Crouton on Chromebook).
