Hi,
Starting a few days ago, gnus has been showing read news as unread when
I run it without an internet connection (ie plug off the ethernet cable,
run emacs, M-x gnus). That only happens using agent.

Just did a git bisect on this. Offending commit is:

gnus-sum.el (gnus-propagate-marks): Change default to t again, since nil mea
auth-source.el (auth-source-netrc-create): Return a synthetic search result
(auth-source-netrc-search): Expect a synthetic result and proceed according
(auth-source-cache-expiry): New variable to override `password-cache-expiry
(auth-source-remember): Use it.
nnimap.el (nnimap-credentials): Remove the `inhibit-create' parameter. Crea
(nnimap-open-connection-1): Don't pass `inhibit-create'.
Setting gnus-propagate-marks to nil does solve the problem. Maybe
something in agent conflicts with it?
