Subject: gnus-group-find-new-groups looping
Date: Mon, 03 Dec 2007 08:50:17 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87fxyktxdi.fsf@jidanni.org> (raw)

F runs the command gnus-group-find-new-groups,
but with my flabulous
$ wc .newsrc.eld
    13  44026 858974 .newsrc.eld
all I know that after it finishes reading NNTP, it enters a second
phase where it just eats all the CPU until one finally hits ^G.

Therefore there should be some regular status messages sent to the
minibuffer in this second phase to prove that it really knows what it
is doing and will ever finish, and is not just looping "to keep warm"
in winter by heating up the CPU.
