For completeness, shouldn't there be
gnus-summary-mark-as-unseen
gnus-summary-mark-as-unread
OK, the latter can be accomplished with
gnus-summary-clear-mark-forward
Clear marks from N articles forward.
By the way, its docstring doesn't say which kind of marks.
