Thanks to Andreas, the problems with gnus-uu.el and gnus-xmas.el have
been solved.  I.e. M-x vc-annotate RET (and `cvs annotate') and M-x
vc-print-log RET (and `cvs log') on these files now works.

Andreas and David also have set up git trees of the Gnus repository.
(I don't know if they are intended for public use, so I don't post the
URLs.)
