I did (setq gnus-article-date-lapsed-new-header t)
and everything was marvy, except when in the *Drafts* folder.
There the two lines get stuck together:
Date: Fri, 02 Jan 2009 01:53:00 +0800X-Sent: 1 week, 4 days, 5 hours, 19 minutes, 56 seconds ago

This happens even in normal groups if the Date header is in the
bottom of the headers in the original article. Fixed in No Gnus.
