On my old laptop, I have No Gnus v0.4 and it works fine. I am currently
migrating to a new laptop. I installed Gnus v5.9.0 from CVS head. But I am
unable to get imap/ssl to work. I tried "openssl s_client ..." by hand and that
works fine, but Gnus cannot open an imap connection and I am unable to figure
out what is wrong. *nnimap-debug* is amazingly unhelpful.

Can anyone help me figure out what I did wrong?

Cheers,

forget it - I just realized that what changed was the installation path. I
wasn't actually loading the right thing (I thought the version number looked
wrong, but I guessed maybe things had changed since the last time I looked).
