Subject: Disaster with gnus-group-clear-data
Date: Mon, 15 Aug 2011 12:21:15 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87ippy3atg.fsf@myles.home.wjsullivan.net> (raw)

I just lost all the marks on one of my main folders because my finger
slipped while hitting M-g, and I hit M-c instead. This cleared all the
marks in my group. Stupid mistake, and now it'll take me hours to
recover from it (around 15k messages).

I tried to Q quit without saving. But after re-starting gnus, I still
have no marks for that group.

Any other ways I can recover?

And... shouldn't this function ask for confirmation? It's at least as
dramatic as commands which mark all article read.
