I don't know (and don't think so), but:
- Do the checks really depend on the group parameters, or
can they be derived from the recipient, etc. in the mes-
sage?
- Related to that, can you set a header or a custom "X-"
header with gnus-posting-styles that you can then depend
the check on (and remove it before sending)?

One option might be to have a special drafts group for those groups (set
that in the parameters as well) and set the checks in there as well.

Yeah, then I have to either duplicate the parameters or move the
drafts groups into the same topic as each group that has parameters
and move the parameters to the topic.
As Gnus has the information about what group the draft belongs to, it
would seem possible for it to apply the parameters from there.
Anyway, it doesn't bother me enough to start poking at the code - I
was hoping there was some setup I had overlooked that somebody
remembered :-)
If I zoom in and ignore the general case, your suggestion could work
for the topic of groups that I get hit by this the most... I will try
that.
Thanks for the reply!
Best regards,
Adam

Two quick follow-up questions:
· How do I create such a new drafts group, eg
nndrafts:drafts-fediverse?
→ Ok, I think I found a way: I copied an existing email into
nndrafts:drafts-fediverse, Gnus prompted me if it should be
created, and I said yes. Then I edited the Group Parameters (G p)
to be ((gnus-dummy (gnus-draft-mode))). So far, so good.
· What is the Group Parameter to specify the drafts group to use?
The two first hits in a web search did not answer the questions:
https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/gnus/Group-Parameters.html
https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/gnus/Drafts.html
O:-),
