Subject: Debian 10: Emacs 26.1 crashes when using Gnus
Date: Tue, 27 Aug 2019 20:21:10 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87k1ay79m1.fsf@bitburger.home.felix> (raw)

hello Gnus users,

since the update to Debian 10, emacs 26.1 (emacs_26.1+1-3.2 with many
Debian patches) crashes in X mode (X11 error, -nw works fine) seemingly
random (i.e. when selecting mails or Ctrl-1 in summary buffer). Here is
the terminal output:

$ emacs
X protocol error: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error) on protocol request 139
Fatal error 6: Aborted

Does anyone else have this problem?
Could this be related to wayland (compatibility layer)?

I will try with a plain (unpatched) emacs-26.2 next.

Thanks and Best Regards,
