It's not ideal but should do the job for siple queries. You call it like this: (auth-source-user-and-password "hostname") (auth-source-user-and-password "hostname" "username") The return has three elements, 1) the user name, 2) the password, 3) the entire auth-source entry so you can get any other interesting info.
