I'm using Gnus v5.10.2 (from Debian/unstable) and would like to use
gpg-agent with it. My agent is currently configured and working; I can sign
files from a command line without re-entering my passphrase. What steps do
I need to take to be able to use that functionality from with Gnus?

I don't know how to use it with gpg-agent because I have never tried but
here it is how I directly handle the passphrase with gpg.el:
,----
| ;; Store passphrase for 20 minutes...
| (setq gpg-passphrase-timeout 1200)
|
| ;; ...or delete passphrase with `C-c p'
| (global-set-key (kbd "C-c p") 'gpg-passphrase-forget)
`----
I think something similar could also be done by using pgg.el (haven't
switched to pgg.el, yet, but I plan to do so in the near future).
Regards,
Marcus
