Platform: debian 12.11 "bookworm", amd64, GNU Emacs 30.1, Gnus v5.13

Seems like every time I do 'C-c C-c' on an email containing an URL, an
empty chromium window pops up.

Does anyone know why this happens?

What did I do...? Whatever I did it wasn't intentional...

Thanks!

It was self-inflected, sort of.

My diagnosis was wrong: it wasn't just emails with URLs that caused an
empty chromium to pop up.

It was all emails attempted sent that caused an empty chromium to pop
up.

And opening the chromium window was what message mode did, instead of
sending the email...

The fix was to stop Gnus, stop emacs, start a new emacs and a new Gnus.

I think maybe this was caused by a question at the end of a
'M-x report-emacs-bug' session last week...?

(the bug report never got any response either, so it probably never went
out either)

(My lesson: start a new emacs process if I plan to report an emacs
bug.... grumble!)

(My 2c)

ISTR something similar as well. Maybe something in:

(grep-find (concat "find " installation-directory "lisp/gnus -type f -regex .*\\.el -print0 | \"xargs\" -0 grep --color=auto -nH --null -e shr-"))

...is to blame; perhaps -content-function or -insert-document.

report-bug is great that way: It finds more stuff to report-bug about.
