Emacs 24? I think so. 23.2 is the latest stable version, and it doesn't have this (verified with the version I mentioned before, and also by reading the *info* docs). Alternatively, we could just let the user set their own completion styles. Maybe they don't like substring completion? And if they do like it, they might want it everywhere. Dan
