Subject: nnimap without agent doesn't store tickmarks on server
Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2002 23:35:25 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87lmecomoi.fsf@bang.priv.no> (raw)
Platform(s): Intel Pentium/PIII, debian testing, GNU Emacs 20.7.2,
Oort Gnus update February 1/January 31, cyrus imapd 1.5.9
I'm reading the same nnimap group on a laptop with January 6 oort Gnus
and agent, and on a desktop computer with January 22 oort Gnus, and no
agent.
The non-agent'ed version of Gnus gets the wrong unread article count,
but when I open the group, articles are read and ticked as I saw them
on the agent'ed version of Gnus.
When I start the agented version of Gnus, the articles I have read and
ticked on the non-agented version of Gnus are all unread.
So I guess what's happening is that only nnimap with agent stores
flags on the server...?
Does anyone else see this? It's not a new thing. I've noticed it
since some time this autumn.
