Subject: Odd stuff in the server buffer

I get a few groups that are only accessible from io.com. This is
generally not a problem and often works better than my main server.

Today, after offsitenntp.io.com was down for a while, I went into the
server buffer and pressed 'R' (gnus-server-remove-denials). Well, I
went back to the *Group* buffer and pressed 'g'. I was then prompted to
enter the password about five times before I finally hit C-g. I looked
in the server buffer and saw this:
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com} (denied)
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com+nntp+offsitenntp.io.com:io.games.sjg.gurps.mage} (opened)
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com+nntp+offsitenntp.io.com:io.games.sjg.gurps.iou} (opened)
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com+nntp+offsitenntp.io.com:io.games.sjg.gurps.discworld} (opened)
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com+nntp+offsitenntp.io.com:io.admin.announce} (opened)
     {nntp:offsitenntp.io.com} (opened)

The only one that I can edit is the first that was still denied and it
has the following:
(nntp "offsitenntp.io.com"
      (nntp-server-opened-hook nntp-send-authinfo)
      (nntp-authinfo-function nntp-send-authinfo))

The list of groups above is a reverse order list of the groups I'm
subscribed to on the offsitenntp.io.com folder.

Where did these other groups come from? Why can't I do anything to
them? No kill, no edit, no nuthin'.

This was all fixed when I exited and re-entered though.

Darren
