My wishlist item for nnimap is for it to handle a situation that I've
had many difficulties figuring out.
(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods
      '((nnimap "csoft"
		(nnimap-address "mail102.csoft.net")
		(nnimap-nov-is-evil t)
		(nnimap-stream ssl)
		(nnimap-list-pattern ("INBOX" "INBOX*"))
		)))

(setq gnus-message-archive-group "nnimap+csoft:INBOX.Sent")

When the session times out, I have to M-g to get nnimap to reconnect
to the server.

In the Gcc realm to INBOX.Sent, I often get an (error) "IMAP process
not running" connected and my current *mail* buffer is sent out via
SMTP but not archived on the imap server.

I'd like nnimap to quietly attempt to reconnect once before raising an
error in both of these situations.

Merely killing the openssl process isn't good enough to replicate the
situation because nnimap seems to handle the termination of the app
just fine. The server in question is a courier imap server if it
happens to make a difference.
