I have a small, but annoying problem with agent: If I list the active
file, with my primary server handled by agent, then all groups on the
server are written to ~/News/agent/nntp/{server}/agent.lib/active
regardless of subscription status. Having 30000+ groups in this file
slows refreshing down to a crawl.
The problem is easily solved by removing the file, but still annoying.
Has anybody else seen this or is it just me doing something wrong? I
am currently using pgnus-98.1, but I believe it was there in a previous
version too.

Yup. Fix in Pterodactyl Gnus v0.99.
