Hi,

I am looking at how PGG stuff works using my current setup and I have
seen something really weird.

Whenever I sign a message to the ding list and then read, it shows me
it failed verifying the sign. What it is really weird is that it *ONLY*
happens in this group but I can easily verify any "self" signed message
in other groups.

Any idea on where I should start to see what is going wrong ? I made a
comparison between ding group setup and debiand-user-french and all
seem good to me (exactly the same settings). Ugh ?

Regards

It happens to me randomly. I think it's something related to the key
and its processing under Gnus.

Your signature failed for me now. Mine will be OK (I have tried that
before), at least for me, in this very same group...

Check the keys...

Wow! It failed now! It used to work here at ding!
Now I don't know what it is. It certainly isn't my key since it works
at the LDP staff mailing list and at LDP-BR (where we have an
intensive use of accented letters...).

This has been discussed before and is related to the way that the
mailing list software encodes the '---' lines into QP.

I believe that the answer is to sign using PGP/MIME rather than
inline.

It doesn't help. Your messages come through marked [[PGP Signed Part:Failed]].

That just sucks.

It's not you, it's the ding list software. The copy of this message
you sent directly to me, came through properly signed.

I believe that turning off your signature is an effective workaround.
