Clearly, I couldn't agree more with you Lars. What I'm a bit worried about too, is that I don't know how the full ELPA process is designed: Who will be able to upload to ELPA? How do I fix packages? And if I update a package that, let's say, depends on Emacs 24.2, how will Emacs 24.1 user will do? Someone will have to fix it?
