imap-client-eol does not hel, unfortunately. I still get

228 BAD Invalid literal in Append command
229 SELECT "INBOX.ding"

Try to use telnet was my first intention, but
imap-shell-program '("ssh -q %s telnet localhost imap")
does not work at all. Gnus stops on opening connection to imap.
