But then I have no idea what kind of utility I would use to correctly extract messages received before a certain date from an mbox file. Also, such cron job would probably not be able to tell if a message is ticked and should be kept in the meantime. It's only the personal mail that I don't want to expire. I feel like I can never know for sure when or if I would need some message in the future.
