Subject: intelligent way to search a newsgroup
Date: Fri, 13 May 2011 20:56:46 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87vcxe2av5.fsf@towardsfreedom.com> (raw)
i want to search a newsgroup by keyword.
i understand from the manual that i can do this with the ephermal group
G w
gmane
~g newsgroup keywords
so i tried
~g gmane.comp.db.sqlite.general correct extension
but this seems to be trying to search the entire gmane universe and is
taking a loooong time.
i'm following the info in the manual on G w here:
http://www.delorie.com/gnu/docs/emacs/gnus_28.html
i'm also following the web searches link to see how that is different
with nnweb.
