The timeout is about 20 minutes or so. No, I'm not sure it isn't NAT. I do know that NAT is involved. My IMAP server is sitting behind a linux firewal that is doing ipmasq between the 'net and the dmz. I don't know what the default timeout is; but, I just found the syntax for increasing it. Hopefully this will fix my problem.
