Dunno abouto the hinote, but I _loved_ the little trackballs on Panasonic notebooks -- way, way, more precise than a trackpad. Sadly, Panasonic succumbed to the groupthink that's almost eliminated non-trackpad pointer controls on laptops, and those little trackballs are no more. Stupid consumers...
