Subject: Waiting for async article
Date: Tue, 23 Jun 2009 10:44:29 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87zlbz9cpu.fsf@newsguy.com> (raw)
Running emacs 23 from cvs
ngnus from cvs
When working through a newsgroup, when I hit a thread with several
messages the second message usually cause a husky delay when
`waiting for async article' appears in the echo area.
That delay can be massive if I let it run. However if I C-g then
press <enter> on the message again it pops right up.
Can anyone tell me how to avoid the big delay or need to C-g and re
press enter?
Somehow killing the process with C-g allows the message to arrive
quickly.
