Subject: A known problem with Outlook Express/MimeOLE?
Date: 05 Dec 1999 12:21:57 +1100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87zovqnpvu.fsf@iname.com> (raw)

I'm on a mailing list with a chap who's posts occasionally show up as
blank under gnus but not with mutt.

When gnus tries to open his messages, it tries to establish an
anonymous ftp connection to host "C" which fails (surprise!), then
displays nothing.

Mutt shows,
X-Priority: 3
X-MSMail-Priority: Normal
X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.2106.4
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.2106.4
X-Keywords:
X-UID: 84

I'm using xemacs and pgnus.

(insert (gnus-version))Gnus v5.8.0
(insert (version))XEmacs 21.1 (patch 8) "Bryce Canyon" [Lucid]
(i686-pc-linux, Mule) of Wed Nov 24 1999 on trinity

Gnus is actually cvs pgnus from a few days maybe a week ago.
