Labeling non-Latin stuff as Latin 1 is highly bogus. Characters in the "Control-1" range can screw some terminals, when dumped raw. And some software _will_ dump them raw, when Gnus mislabels them as Latin 1. I'm really not sure what to do here. Maybe we should ask at comp.mail.mime?
