Issues after switching to Emacs 24.1.1

Hello friends,

Today I switched over to Emacs 24.1.1. So far I have been using emacs
master branch. Since it started showing some issues with other
packages, I switched over to emacs-24 stable branch.

Gnus was working properly with master branch but stopped working with
emacs-24 branch.

This is what I am getting when I start gnus.

Opening connection to imap.gmail.com via tls...

Please ignore this. This is fixed. I was lagging behind in emacs-24 branch.
