If an advance in cryptography that threatens all of the usual algorithms or a major data theft based on cracking any of them occurs, suddenly all sorts of people for whom "pretty good privacy" used to be good enough will want more options. In such a situation, distributing a little Lisp code so people can use a different algorithm would be a small job. We can do it if it is needed.
