The problem arises when I have started XEmacs under X at home, then go to the office where I ssh home and run "gnuclient -nw". Now I have a tty-based XEmacs which nonetheless exits back to a shell prompt any time I send a message. What I would like is the inverse, message-delete-action, which I would then use when detecting non-X use, to avoid the departure of my tty-based frame.
