I wasn't able also to reproduce it, but I noticed I forgot to use
`save-excursion' when I changed `quoted-printable-encode-region'
last.  I've fixed it.  I don't think it is related to that
behavior as long as it is used in Gnus, though.

It is not specified any for especials or tspecials.
