Also no coloring > takes place. Just updated Emacs and Gnus; no problem here. Do you get see any errors in the *Messages* buffer? You could also try to obtain a backtrace (in case it is an error) by starting Emacs with `emacs --debug-init' and/or putting `(setq debug-on-error t)' into your init file. -- Ralf
