I thought this is intended and the only difference between iso8859-1 and iso8859-15 is that the currency sign is replaced by the Euro sign. This would mean that the character code is the same and it only depends on the screen font what is displayed. So emacs has no way to determine if you want a currency or euro sign. What font do I have to choose if I want to get a euro sign? Thanks, Kevin
